Miranda Bardsley is the Content Editor/Producer of Music Week. In her role, she works on the magazine, website, Music Week's events and the charts.
After finishing her studies at Oxford University in 2020 (Music BA) and the University Of Bristol in 2021 (Film/Television MA), Miranda joined Music Week as an intern before taking on the role of Sub-Editor a few months later, where she spent a year working closely with the editorial team, as well as on the weekly chart pack and monthly magazine charts.
In her current position as Content Editor, Miranda is in charge of pages including Making Waves & Sync Story, Hitmakers, Girls I Rate x Music Week's Mentor Me and Rising Star, as well as commissioning and editing pages such as Centre Stage, Hotshots and Digital Discourse.
Within her role, she has interviewed a wide range of upcoming artists and breakout stars, as well established names within the industry, such as Mark Ronson, Lizzy McAlpine, Sugababes, Kamille, Mimi Webb, Jamz Supernova, Rou Reynolds, Vick Hope and Whitney Boateng.
She plays an integral role in the working of the Music Week Awards and the Women In Music Awards every year, and was the Editorial Project Manager for Music Week's 2022 Tech Summit: Women Making Waves.
Miranda is also a violinist and singer and has been hosting Sofar Sounds concerts since 2020. Her musical interests lie in folk, pop, modern jazz and R&B. She is interested in writing about gender, LGBTQ+ experiences and diversity within the music industry, and is fascinated in exploring new genres.
