The Never Say Die promotions agency has appointed Alysha Wood to head up its new streaming division.
The company was founded last year by former Parlophone director of promotions Dave Rajan as a music services brand mainly focusing on radio. Never Say Die has since broadened its scope to provide a focused streaming strategy for artists.
Alysha Wood was previously head of streaming at Warner Records, where she set up the team. She also worked as a playlist editor at Spotify and was formerly at BBC Radio 1.
“There are not many executives who can boast that experience, and this shows in her considered approach to streaming and the industry as a whole,” said Dave Rajan. “Alongside my 20 years of experience, we also have the young blood coming through with Guy Ripper working as junior plugger within the team, offering unique and contemporary insight in the radio and streaming landscape.”

He added: “Streaming is the main revenue stream for artists in recorded music, so offering a service that gives you a focused strategy around the DSPs makes so much sense in a world where there are 50,000 songs per day being uploaded.
“We have spent years building up great relationships with the teams at DSPs and have an understanding of how the platforms work. This space is too important to be given a one-size-fits-all approach, so all our campaigns are tailor-made to the artists with a long-term strategy in mind.”
Never Say Die is working with a range of clients, including Darcus Beese’s Darco Records on the group RLY and with Modest! Management on rising star Alfie Jukes.
